T the Artist

uses his pencil

to fight his wars.

Respect my pencil.

No gangs,
No guns,
No violence,
Just my skills …

Want war?
Grab ya pencil and
see me on the sheet.

Gang membership and violence are so much a part of the lives of incarcerated adolescents. They grew up with gangs in their neighborhoods and sometimes within their families. The necessity of using violence to defend oneself in such environments is often not accepted or understood. It is great to know that some who grew up this way can indeed see another way.
